Welcome To Cadillac Michigan
Nature is calling you to come Explore Your Way… our rolling forest-covered hills, ample rivers, diverse lakes, and varied trails all interconnect and span for miles and miles of fun.
The Cadillac region is the geographic center of Michigan and boasts the highest elevation in the state. The shifting winds across Lake Michigan keep the winter white on our trails and ski hills longer, and freeze our lakes earlier than most. Skiers, snowmobilers, cross-country skiers, ice fishermen… they all co-exist in our region.
When the winds shift to warm breezes, enjoy being surrounded by nature’s beauty as spring flowers and green grass emerge. Bikers take to the roads, the golf courses open, and many a ‘bucket list’ item is checked off with the catch of a Steelhead. Succulent morel mushrooms pop up in the forests and make their way to local restaurants in soups and specialty fare.
Summers are full of shoreline trail walks, building sand castles, biking the trails and lots of shoreline water play. With perfect summer temps allowing a full day of golfing, boating or your recreation of choice, our playground is yours for the taking.
While the sunsets fall earlier and hang on the rim, the autumn leaves begin to turn with vivid reds and golds coloring the river valleys and forests. With over 500,000 acres of National Forest, our late September thru October Color Tours are a must-see, a non-resident ‘bucket list’ item for sure.
Our residents are charmingly friendly and polite, with just over 10,000 in the City of Cadillac and roughly 30,000 plus in the greater area. We are a small city surrounded by small towns, gleaming with positive energy and a love of the great outdoors. Come join us for a day or more, and explore your way around our area.
