Cadillac, Michigan. As Pokémon Go gamers download and use the app, allowing it soar to new heights in millennial digital entertainment, the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau has established a point of capture for both the Gamer and Locations. The CAVB has created a specific ‘Event Category’ to help gamers plan their vacations around opportunities to participate in special 5k, 10k and other special activities required to build their collection of Pokémon characters in the Cadillac area. You can go to www.cadillacmichigan.com website, and check them out on the pages ‘Festivals & Events’ page.
‘We created a special ‘Pokémon Go Event’ category just for these activities, to make it easy to plan and engage gamers of this new phenomenon,” says Joy VanDrie, Executive Director of the Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau, “Cadillac has been identified as a Pokémon Go Hot Spot in northern michigan by the gaming community, and we love seeing everyone out and about.”
The recent Facebook post by the City of Cadillac Police Department explaining their positive interaction with has exceeded Facebook reach of any other post by the department. The CAVB has transferred that post into a BLOG post on www.explorecadillac.org to help foster positive local engagement.
Gamers can go to the page to see events hosted by the Pokémon Go locations, and plan their vacations around these fun activities.
Pokémon Go Locations can upload, for FREE, their event to this page to help promote it. The Cadillac Area Visitors Bureau is suggesting area businesses engage these gamers and offer some type of activity or special event. The game also allows businesses to apply to become a location, and also has an application to request to be removed. Please call our office for inquiries at 231-775-0657.
